NIH 101: An Introduction to the National Institutes of Health

March 14, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The National Institutes of Health is the world’s leading supporter of fundamental discovery that extends healthy lives and reduces the burden of illness. Thanks to the Congressional investment, NIH-supported research has met some of our nation’s biggest health challenges. As the appropriations process begins in earnest, please join Dr. Keith Yamamoto, from the University of California, San Francisco, for a timely look at an overview of the NIH sets research priorities and solicits input from the scientific community and the public. Furthermore, he will discuss the peer review process and the types of grants funded by the agency. We hope you will join us for this important and timely briefing.
